Kansas Events 2026
Two small Kansas towns throw some of the state’s biggest Halloween parties. Independence holds Neewollah, which is Halloween spelled backward, from October 23 to 31, and Arkansas City follows with Arkalalah. Near Wichita, McConnell AFB hosts the Frontiers in Flight Air Show on October 24 and 25.
By late November, Topeka Zoo Lights and the Mayor’s Holiday Festival in Overland Park are up. Manhattan lights its Festival of Lights tree after Thanksgiving, and Lawrence holds an old-fashioned Christmas parade December 5.
