About this event

Topeka Zoo Lights turns one of Topeka's cherished holiday traditions into immersive zones, a Winter Wonderland, and larger-than-life light installations, rain, shine, or snow. Santa and Mrs. Claus greet guests in the Big Gage building, and a gingerbread contest lets visitors vote on houses built by local businesses. Stands pour hot cocoa beside seasonal food, retail booths, a Giving Tree for zoo animals, and a holiday bar for guests 21 and older.

Our take: Come before the daytime zoo closes at 4 p.m. if you want animals as well as the lights, then vote in the gingerbread contest on the way through.
