Shively Farms Pumpkin Patch

Shively Farms Pumpkin Patch sits on SE Croco Road in Berryton, a few miles south of Lake Shawnee and a short drive from Topeka. The patch grows white pumpkins, jack-o'-lanterns, small and big fruit and flat stackers. The activity list runs past 40 farm-themed stops, including a human hamster wheel, hay-bale play and a 3-acre corn maze. Photo spots include a pumpkin house, a big chair, a big bench, an old farm tractor, a how-tall-this-fall sign, a 1960s GMC flatbed and a John Deere combine slide. Pumpkin Smash Day is marked near the end of the run. Field trips and work events can be booked with the farm.

Our take: Start with the combine slide and the 1960s GMC for photos, then pick flat stackers if you want pumpkins that pile, and leave time for the 3-acre maze.
