About this event
The Kansas City Renaissance Festival began in September 1977 as a benefit for the Kansas City Art Institute and has grown into one of the largest Renaissance festivals in the United States, drawing about 200,000 visitors a season to its grounds in Bonner Springs. It runs on weekends through early fall, plus two Monday openings, one on Labor Day and one in October.
Our take: If weekends don't work, try the October Monday opening, though it closes earlier that day.
Good to know
Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.; holiday Monday 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
