The capital is small, but its event calendar is full. A costume carnival lands on October 30, and flamenco dancers take over for the Fuego Flamenco Festival in November. On November 8 the National Veterans Parade comes through, with a 5K the same day.
ZooLights at the National Zoo opens November 20, followed by Holidays at Hillwood. December 3 is the night the National Christmas Tree is lit, and The Wharf holds a holiday boat parade on December 5. Metro gets you close to nearly all of it.
