About this event
Boo at the Zoo is an after-hours Halloween evening throughout Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington, D.C. Guests come in costume, stop at treat stations, and fill a souvenir goodie bag, with skeleton scenes and a pumpkin patch along the paths. The evening adds after-hours entry to the Small Mammal House, the Elephant Community Center, and the Reptile Discovery Center. A kids dance party runs on site, and the Conservation Carousel and National Zoo Choo Choo also run. The zoo closes early on event days to set up. Members get an earlier entry hour.
Our take: Come in costume and work through the treat stations, then use the after-hours visit to the Small Mammal House and Reptile Discovery Center.
Parking
Drivers enter at 3001 Connecticut Ave. NW. Daytime and member parking passes are not honored.
