About this event
Snallygaster bills itself as the District's biggest beer festival, held on Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 3rd and 7th with the Capitol as backdrop. The pour list is no fewer than 450 drafts, gravity kegs, and bottle and can servings from 166 American and international producers, plus wine, cocktails, spirits, seltzers, and non-alcoholic brews. Food trucks and two stages of live music fill the street, with a makers market, games, and kids activities. The Neighborhood Restaurant Group produces it with Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food and Agriculture. There is no parking at the site, so driving is discouraged.
Our take: Take Metro, since there is no parking on the avenue, and pace yourself between the two music stages and the food trucks.
