About this event
The Turkish Festival, organized by the American Turkish Association of Washington DC, fills Pennsylvania Avenue NW between Third and Sixth streets with a free day of folk dances, live music, fashion and children's arts and crafts. More than 40 food vendors from local Turkish restaurants and chefs serve kebabs, döner, lahmacun, börek, gözleme, simit, baklava, Turkish delight and tulumba, and the Turkish Tea House and Coffee House offer traditional coffee fortune readings. The Grand Bazaar has more than 40 vendors selling handwoven textiles, jewelry and ceramics.
