Halloween Weekend 2026: Events October 30 – November 1
This guide lists 46 events in 32 states and Washington, D.C., for Halloween weekend 2026, Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so the parties start Friday night and a few haunts stay open one more day.
The guide is grouped by day first, then month-long festivals that end this weekend, haunts on their last nights and a few festivals for anyone skipping the costume. USA Fest Bot doesn’t sell tickets.

Saturday is trick-or-treat day. In Knoxville, Trick or Treat on the Square hands out candy along Market Square and Union Avenue from 5 to 8 p.m., Anchorage’s Zoo Boo winds candy trails through The Alaska Zoo, and Mobile’s MOB-tober Fest holds a pet costume contest before the human one. Medora’s Wild West Fall Fest and the Jessamine Fall Festival in Nicholasville both have trunk-or-treats, and Houma’s Krewe of Terreanians pairs trick-or-treating with a jambalaya and gumbo cook-off. Month-long Halloween festivals ending this weekend
Some of the biggest Halloween celebrations run for weeks and wrap up this weekend. Salem Haunted Happenings closes out a month that draws more than 1 million visitors, and Utah’s Gardner Village WitchFest, held since 2000, ends at 4 p.m. on Halloween. St. Helens, Oregon, where the Disney movie Halloweentown was filmed, keeps Spirit of Halloweentown going through November 1. For festive rather than frightening, Arbor Day Farm’s All Hallows’ Eve in Nebraska City gives every guest a treat bag, the Tulsa Zoo’s HallowZOOeen has its last day session on Halloween, and Columbus’s Pumpkins Aglow lights garden paths and pumpkin houses after dark. Baton Rouge’s Fifolet Halloween Festival builds a pub crawl, a parade and a costume ball around the Cajun legend of a blue flame in the swamp.

Other festivals that weekend
Not every event this weekend is about costumes. Carson City’s Nevada Day holds a parade that dates to 1938, plus a balloon launch and a beard contest. Two airshows fill the sky: Wings Over Houston, a Commemorative Air Force show built around vintage World War II aircraft, and the Air Dot Show in Peachtree City, headlined by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. Arkalalah in Arkansas City, Kansas, started in 1928 and packs three parades into four days, Beatty Days at the Gateway to Death Valley runs bed races and a chili cook-off, and the Morehead Harvest Festival has bands all three days. Día de los Muertos celebrations on October 31 and November 1 have their own guide: Día de los Muertos 2026.

Before you go
Check the age guidance first. Several haunts say they are not for young children, and some evening parties are 18 and up or 21 and up, while daytime trick-or-treats like Zoo Boo and Pumpkin Palooza in Pittsburgh are built for kids. Costume rules vary too: some haunts ban masks or costumes, and others ask that masks leave eyes visible, so read the rules before you dress up.
Many haunts run on select nights only, so check the calendar for the night you plan to go. For more ideas, browse Halloween events, haunted houses, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, fall festivals and events this weekend. Running an event that belongs here? Submit a listing.
