About this event
Shannon Airport's Harvest Festival Fly-In at Shannon Airport and Air Museum in Fredericksburg mixes aircraft and exhibits with food vendors, aviation-style trick-or-treating, and candy drops. In 2024 the airport added a Haunted Hangar Tour that has stayed on the program. Historic aircraft such as the C-54 Spirit of Freedom, dedicated to the Berlin Airlift, and the DC-3 Shannon Air Express were on display during the 2025 festival, and guests can also visit the Shannon Air Museum. Children ages 12 and under are encouraged to dress in costume for the candy drops. Fly-in aircraft are welcome through Shannon's own details page.
Our take: Put kids in costume for the candy drops and build in time for both the ramp displays and the Haunted Hangar Tour.
