About this event

The Fredericksburg Farmers Market connects local growers, producers, and consumers in a marketplace meant to celebrate local food, culture, and community. It operates year-round, with the place shifting by season: winter dates at the Dorothy Hart Community Center on Canal Street, and the main season and a summer midweek market at Hurkamp Park on William Street. Stalls cover fresh produce, mushrooms, plants, flowers, meat, eggs, milk, cheese, honey, seafood, baked goods, preserves, and ready-to-eat food, and Hurkamp Park also has food truck spaces. Pottery, jewelry, and other non-agricultural crafts are not sold here.

Our take: Go hungry for cheese, honey, and ready-to-eat stalls, and skip the trip if you are mainly hunting pottery or jewelry, which this market does not allow.
