About this event
Nevada Day in downtown Carson City is a family parade day, and the first Nevada Day Parade was held in 1938. The 3rd Street Vendor Plaza serves crafts and food from the Fox, Mom and Pop's, and Scoops, while Carson Mall hosts a balloon launch, rock drill competition, car show, cornhole, and a kid zone. A beard contest lands at McFadden Plaza, and an adults-only after party follows at Telegraph and Proctor.
Our take: Start at Carson Mall for the morning balloon launch, then walk over to the parade route and the 3rd Street Vendor Plaza.
Good to know
Vendor plaza 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Beard contest 1:00-2:30 PM. After party 5:00-8:00 PM, adults only.
