Baton Rouge Events 2026–27

October in Baton Rouge leans on Burden Museum & Gardens, where the corn maze runs all month and a night maze opens on October 30. The Greater Baton Rouge State Fair starts October 22. The Fifolet Halloween Festival and parade close out the month downtown, and the Louisiana Book Festival is October 31.

After Thanksgiving the same gardens turn into Louisiana Lights. Downtown’s Festival of Lights and Santa in the Senate fill the first weekend of December. Magnolia Mound’s Creole Christmas follows, and Red Stick Revelry rings in the new year.

Dates can change, so check the event’s website before you go.
