About this event
Festival of Lights is a downtown Baton Rouge holiday tradition presented with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, which dates its work to 1973. The day runs through downtown with the Reindeer Run, the Holiday Shop Hop, the Operation Save Santa Parade, live entertainment, and other festive activities, then closes with the Lighting of the Tree and fireworks. Thousands of families gather for the tree and the fireworks that end the day.
