About this event
The Greater Baton Rouge State Fair began when two Baton Rouge Jaycees projects, a trade show and a carnival, were combined, and it has been held for decades on the fairgrounds that are now part of BREC's Airline Highway Park. The carnival midway runs more than 40 rides for every age group, and the fair adds stage shows, daily attractions, agriculture and livestock exhibits and plenty of fair food. All shows and most attractions are included with gate admission.
Parking
BREC Airline Highway Park fairgrounds, Baton Rouge. Clear bags only (12x6x12 in.), no backpacks, no outside food or drinks, service animals only; wand screening at entry. Same-day re-entry with a wristband or exit pass.
Good to know
Closes at 10 p.m. nightly. Gate admission $15 Fri–Sun for anyone 48 inches and taller; weekday deals announced separately. Ride wristbands $35 on the midway, good for one day. No refunds, no EBT; ATMs on site.
