South Dakota Events 2026
The Black Hills set the tone for South Dakota’s Halloween. Deadwood, the old gold rush town, hosts Deadweird on October 30 and 31, and Keystone runs the Haunting of Keystone near Mount Rushmore. Brookings holds the Hobo Day Parade on October 24.
Sioux Falls carries the holidays, with a parade of lights the day after Thanksgiving and a Jingle Bell Run the same day. Mitchell holds its own parade of lights on December 1, and Rapid City hosts a winter marketplace in November.
