About this event
The First Bank & Trust Parade of Lights is a Downtown Sioux Falls signature event, sending glowing floats south along Phillips Avenue from 13th Street to 5th Street. Local businesses, nonprofits and community groups build whimsical lighted entries, a grand marshal leads the way, and floats compete for awards like Best Use of Lights and Spirit of Sioux Falls. The night also brings the official lighting of the Downtown Holiday Tree, with carols and cocoa to get the crowd in the spirit.
Our take: It goes on snow or shine, so dress for a South Dakota evening and bring a thermos.
