Richmond Events 2026–27

Richmond’s fall starts at Maymont, where Garden Glow lights the grounds from mid-October into November. Richmond Oktoberfest and OystoberFest share the weekend of October 16 and 17. The Richmond Marathon runs through the city on November 14.

For the holidays, the GardenFest of Lights at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden opens just before Thanksgiving. The Dominion Energy Christmas Parade is December 5, the same weekend as the Maymont Merry Market. Shows include Richmond Ballet’s Nutcracker and Virginia Rep’s A Christmas Carol.

Dates can change, so check the event’s website before you go.
