About this event
Yuletides at Agecroft is a free Christmas open house at Agecroft Hall & Gardens in Richmond, a Tudor manor house that began in Lancashire, England, and was reconstructed in Virginia in the 1920s. Visitors experience the holiday traditions of 17th-century England, 19th-century London and 20th-century Richmond, meeting costumed residents of the 1600s, Charles Dickens and his characters, World War II-era soldiers and Father Christmas himself. The gardens and museum are decked out for the season, with family crafts, simmering cider, music and a self-guided museum tour showing decorations from the 1600s to the 1940s.
Our take: Stop by the Sweets Shop for locally crafted treats and grab a coffee from the visiting vendors as you tour the gardens.
