About this event
The Placitas Holiday Market spreads artists and craftspeople across six sites on or near Highway 165 on the traditional weekend before Thanksgiving. Stops include Wild Hearts Gallery, a 14-member artists' collective; the Placitas Community Library's Holiday Fiesta with a raffle, bake sale and book sale; Placitas Winery, a micro-winery pouring fruit wines, beer and cocktails; the 19th-century Las Placitas Presbyterian Church; Placitas Elementary School; and the Placitas Community Senior Center. Raffles and sales at most sites benefit local nonprofits and school programs.
Our take: Plan lunch at the historic Las Placitas Presbyterian Church, where traditional New Mexican food is for sale.
