About this event
Launched with Keep Santa Fe Beautiful in 1999, the Recycle Santa Fe Art Festival celebrates art made from at least 75% recycled, reused or repurposed materials, and bills itself as the country's largest and oldest recycled art market. Nearly 100 vendors from New Mexico and across the country fill the art market at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center, which draws thousands of shoppers and holiday gift-givers. Adult and student art exhibits and make-and-take art activities round out the weekend, and Friday night brings the Trash Fashion & Costume Contest.
Our take: Buy Trash Fashion Show tickets early: seating is assigned, the show often sells out, and the ticket also covers Friday night's art market.
Parking
City parking at the municipal garage, 119 South Federal Place (open 7 a.m.–10 p.m., $12 daily maximum), plus metered street parking. Friday night art market without show tickets is $5 per person; kids 12 and under free.
