About this event
McCall's Pumpkin Patch in Moriarty grew from Kevin McCall's farm, which still works about 300 acres of alfalfa, corn, pinto beans and pumpkins, with 50 acres of pumpkins picked by visitors. Weekends bring the pumpkin patch, and the Haunted Farm opens on Friday and Saturday nights.
Our take: It's less than an hour from Albuquerque or Santa Fe, an easy fall day trip from either.
Good to know
Pumpkin patch Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Haunted Farm Friday and Saturday nights, tickets by online reservation only. Exit 196 off I-40.
