About this event

Haunted Scarecrow's Depths of Despair is billed as New Mexico's premier haunted house, set beneath 505 Central Food Hall at 5th and Central in downtown Albuquerque. The basement becomes a full-sensory walk of twisted corridors, fog, dramatic light, and scare actors, with Dizzle the Clown as the face of the haunt and your guide through it. It is a no-touch house: actors do not touch guests, and guests are asked not to touch the cast. Dinner, drinks, craft beer, and cocktails are upstairs in the food hall, an easy bookend to the descent. Buy ahead for Friday or Saturday, when the haunt fills up.

Our take: Eat at 505 Central Food Hall before you go down, and buy ahead for Friday or Saturday because those nights fill.

Good to know

No-touch haunt: actors will not touch guests, and guests should not touch the cast. Darkness, fog, loud audio, and flashing lights may not suit young children.
