About this event
The Albuquerque Turkey Trot, billed as the most exciting Turkey Trot in New Mexico, starts at the Sid Cutter Pavilion in Balloon Fiesta Park on Thanksgiving morning. The lineup runs from a Tot Trot and a Little Turkey 1 Mile to a 10K and a 5K run/walk, followed by awards and a raffle; the top three overall finishers win cash, every finisher gets a medal and there's no time limit.
Our take: Pick up your packet on Wednesday if you can, since organizers say race morning is very busy.
Good to know
Race-morning pickup and registration 7:30 a.m.; Tot Trot 8:15; 1 Mile 8:30; 10K 9:00; 5K 9:05; awards and raffle 10:15. Free parking on the northeast side of the park, entering from San Mateo to Balloon Fiesta Parkway NE. No dogs except service animals.
