About this event
Galloping Goat Pumpkin Patch in Rio Rancho is full of animals and activities, including a giant corn pit, duck races, paintball, miniature golf and axe throwing, and it also hosts field trips and parties. It sets up by the Rio Rancho Events Center, which sells hot food on weekends, and pumpkins can be bought without paying admission.
Our take: For smaller crowds, go on a weekday after 1:30 p.m., once the field trips have filtered out.
Good to know
Daily, 9 a.m.–6 p.m., in October. Petting zoo and paintball $3 each extra. Prepackaged snacks sold daily; outside food and drink welcome (no alcohol).
