About this event
Holiday Promenade turns Des Moines' historic East Village into a winter wonderland on Friday evenings, with twinkling lights, festive storefronts, live music and holiday carolers. Locally owned shops stay open late with special deals, free trolley rides connect the district, and each week brings its own highlight event, from a tree lighting with Santa to a window display contest. The free, family-friendly evenings drew more than 90,000 neighbors and visitors in the last season.
