Wild Waves Fright Fest

Wild Waves Fright Fest turns the Federal Way theme park after the evening changeover, with monsters out and four haunted attractions included in admission: Chamber of Souls, Black Hallow Woods, Haunted Harvest, and Trail of Terrors, each rated PG-13. Rides in the dark and a live DJ are included, and the food includes candied apples, fudge, and elephant ears. A VIP Fright Fast Pass shortens the wait at Black Hallow Woods, Chamber of Souls, Wild Thing, Timberhawk, Brain Drain, and Scrambler. Earlier on Saturdays and Sundays, Booville in Kiddie Land stays scare-free for ages 12 and under, with games, a Bubble Witch show, and Xakary the Magician, until the park shifts.

Our take: If you have kids 12 and under, use Booville before the park shifts, then decide whether the PG-13 houses are worth staying for Fright by Night.
