About this event
The Tacoma City Turkey Trot, put on by TCMA, is a Thanksgiving morning 5K run and walk in Tacoma's Proctor District, with a 1K for kids 12 and under. Both distances start and finish at Fleet Feet Tacoma, and costumes and accessories are encouraged. The 5K course is USATF certified. Finishers get a medal on the 5K or a ribbon on the kids run. Gear check is offered on race day, and packet pickup is the day before at Ruston Waterfront Market or at the 5K start line on race morning.
Our take: Come in a Thanksgiving costume, park on Proctor-area streets away from the Safeway lots, and walk to the start at Fleet Feet Tacoma.
Parking
Street parking around the Proctor area. No parking on N. 26th St. between Proctor St. and N. Adams. Do not park in Safeway lots.
Good to know
Pre-race packet pickup Wednesday 12:00-6:30pm at Ruston Waterfront Market, 5101 Yacht Club Rd. Day-of pickup at the 5K start 7:30-8:45am. Gear check ends 15 minutes before each start.
