About this event
Founded in 1987, the Sights & Sounds of Christmas is a nonprofit holiday festival in San Marcos that draws families from across Texas. A carnival with bumper cars and a Ferris wheel runs alongside a free petting zoo with llamas, lambs, goats and bunnies, and Santa's Gift Shop gathers more than 30 vendors selling decorated cookies, clothing and home decor. A Night in Old Bethlehem offers live music, candle making and a live nativity, while Reindeer Games, a scavenger hunt and live performances fill out the evening.
Our take: Come hungry, because more than 20 food vendors line both sides of the river.
