House of Torment

House of Torment, from Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, sits at 2632 Ridgepoint Drive in Austin with three haunted attractions: Jason Universe, Return of the Abominations, and Beyond the Veil. Jason Universe brings back Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. A Director's Cut add-on adds a camp counselor, and Panic, Slash, Strike, or Stalk buttons change how he responds, with a collectible patch for survivors. Return of the Abominations sets four twisted tribes in a ruined city. Beyond the Veil follows an ancient cult and a mysterious book in an abandoned manor. Mini escape games, axe throwing, and cocktails at Torment Tavern and The Nocturne Sanctum Secret Bar fill out the lot. A presale voucher does not guarantee entry until redeemed for a date and time.

Our take: Add the Jason Universe Director's Cut if you want the cabin buttons and the patch, then leave time for a cocktail at Torment Tavern or The Nocturne Sanctum.
