About this event

The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar, billed as Austin's Winter Arts Fest, is the city's original and longest-running holiday art market, bringing nearly 200 artists, handmade gifts and live music from Austin legends to the Palmer Events Center. It was born in 1976 at the legendary Armadillo World Headquarters music hall, and Executive Producer Bruce Willenzik, who worked at the venue in the 1970s, took over the show in 1981 after the hall closed. Five decades on, it still celebrates the weird-and-wonderful creative spirit of Austin.

Our take: Pick a weekend evening with later closing hours so you can shop the art and then settle in for the live music.

Parking

Palmer Events Center garage, $10 per vehicle; also the garage at 425 West Riverside and the One Texas Center lot nights and weekends.
