About this event
The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce kicks off the season in downtown West Chester with a tree lighting on the steps of the Historic Courthouse, facing High Street, followed by the town's famous hometown Christmas parade. The ceremony features dance and musical performances and the lighting of a 28-foot tree, led by 6abc meteorologist Adam Joseph and B101's Kathy Romano, who also emcee the parade. Chester County's favorite performers march alongside newcomers and Santa, with prizes awarded for the best commercial float and best nonprofit entry.
Our take: Arrive in time for the courthouse tree lighting, then hold your High Street spot as the parade follows right after.
