About this event
The EYC Lights Parade is a harbor celebration produced by Eastport Yacht Club in Annapolis. It started in 1981, when two members who lived on their boat in Spa Creek strung Christmas lights on the rigging and cruised the harbor singing carols. Friends joined the next year, and by 1988 the parade had been designated an Official Maryland Winter Celebration. Dozens of sailboats, powerboats, and dinghies covered in colored lights parade through Annapolis Harbor for two hours.
