About this event
The Boston Parks and Recreation Department lights the tree in Copley Square with partners including the Friends of Copley Square and the Fairmont Copley Plaza, celebrating the newly renovated park in the heart of the Back Bay. The program includes guided tours of the redesigned square, arts and crafts, appearances by Santa Claus and Rudolph, and music from the Boston Children's Chorus and other local performers. Afterward, families can head into the Fairmont Copley Plaza for cookies and pictures with Santa.
Our take: Head straight into the Fairmont Copley Plaza once the tree is lit to get ahead of the line for Santa photos.
