About this event
The Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival is a French Quarter celebration of literature, theatre, cuisine and music, honoring the playwright who considered New Orleans his spiritual home. Over four decades it has hosted thousands of literary luminaries and stars of stage and screen, and book and theatre lovers travel from across the country and abroad for writer's craft sessions, literary panels, theatre, walking tours, culinary events, author interviews and music. The Tennessee Williams Scholars Conference and the Saints & Sinners LGBTQ+ Literary Festival run the same weekend.
Our take: Make time for the Stella Shouting Contest, a nod to A Streetcar Named Desire, the play that won Williams his first Pulitzer Prize.
