About this event
Celebration in the Oaks wraps City Park's famous oaks in over one million twinkling lights, seen on a two-mile Driving Tour of about 30–45 minutes or a Walking Tour of about 90 minutes. The Walking Tour includes unlimited rides at Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, Storyland, the Botanical Garden, marshmallow roasting and a cup of hot chocolate, and drivers can tune in to 96.1 FM for holiday classics. A New Orleans family tradition since the late 1980s, it's City Park's largest fundraiser and draws over 135,000 visitors.
Our take: Aim for one of the seven Value Nights, when both tours cost less.
Good to know
Mon–Thu 6–10pm; Fri–Sat 5–10pm; Sun 5–9pm; closed some nights, including Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Tickets online only, by day and time slot; last entry half an hour before closing.
