About this event
Bayou Bacchanal, billed as the "Original Caribbean Carnival," is hosted by Caribbean Carnival/Friends of Culture, a nonprofit founded by Marilyn LaForce that provides a cultural link between the Greater New Orleans area and the island nations of the Caribbean. The organization is run by New Orleans locals native to parts of the Caribbean, and the carnival exists to share the festive traditions of the Caribbean with the Crescent City community. A free celebration and parade on Saturday feature performances.
