About this event

NOLA Funk Fest sets up at Goldring Woldenberg Riverfront Park in downtown New Orleans, including the Audubon Aquarium Plaza. The festival serves as the coming-out party for the Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience, a planned museum dedicated to preserving the state's musical history, and every performance and sponsored program helps build support for it. Alongside the music, symposiums pair oral histories with performances to highlight the legacies of Louisiana music, and the organizers prioritize paying local artists above market rates.

Parking

Parking near the festival can be challenging; nearby lots include Premium Parking P406 at 385 Iberville and P402 at 300 North Peters, and the streetcar and RTA buses serve the area.

Good to know

Gates open at 11 a.m. each day, with shows from noon to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday.
