About this event
The New Orleans Film Festival, run by the New Orleans Film Society, showcases independent film. Organizers cite 250-plus filmmakers, 150-plus films, and more than 12,000 people across six in-person days, plus a virtual cinema. A Second Line follows opening night, and films play in pop-up and historic venues with Mississippi River views. The slate aims for 90 percent submissions and at least half of films from women or gender non-conforming directors and from filmmakers of color.
Our take: Stay after the opening night film for the Second Line, then catch screenings at the pop-up and historic venues.
