About this event
The Krewe of NOMTOC, short for New Orleans' Most Talked Of Club, has paraded on the West Bank since 1970, sponsored by the Jugs Social Club, founded in 1951. Today the krewe rolls with about 625 riders on 26 floats plus ten bands and marching and riding groups, from Holiday Drive and Wall Boulevard via General Meyer Avenue, L.B. Landry Avenue and Mardi Gras Boulevard to General Meyer and Shirley Drive. Throws include ceramic medallion beads, jug banks and the signature Jug Man dolls.
Our take: For families, the krewe suggests Holiday Drive and General Meyer Avenue in front of Behrman Stadium, or along Mardi Gras Boulevard near Nunez Street.
