About this event
The Krewe of Muses is the first all-female Mardi Gras krewe to parade at night in uptown New Orleans, named for the Greek goddesses of literature, science, and the arts. Its calling card is the decorated shoe: riders design them and crowds catch them. Each parade carries a satirical theme. The shout from the route is Throw me something sister.
