About this event
The Crescent City Classic puts on Christmas in Lafreniere Park Run/Walk, an evening run, walk, or stroll on a 2-mile course through Lafreniere Park. The route passes through the Christmas in the Park Lights Display, with more than 10 million sparkling LED lights, larger-than-life holiday displays, and the 60-foot Sea Serpent glowing over the lagoon. Photos with Santa, holiday activities, and a holiday costume contest sit alongside gumbo, hot chocolate, beer, and other pre- and post-race refreshments.
Our take: Take the 2-mile course at an easy pace to see the Sea Serpent over the lagoon, then stay for gumbo and the costume contest.
