About this event
Center Grove Orchard cuts a new corn-maze design every fall on a working farm at 32835 610th Avenue in Cambridge, about 35 minutes from Des Moines off I-35 at Exit 102. The maze is 4 acres and included with admission. A hayride links the maze to a 20-acre orchard of more than 34 apple varieties and to the pumpkin patch, and the bakery sends people out with cider donuts. Agree on a meeting spot before you go in; most groups take twenty minutes to an hour.
Our take: Agree on a meeting spot before the hayride drops you at the maze, then finish at the bakery for cider donuts.
Parking
32835 610th Avenue, Cambridge, five miles east of I-35 at Exit 102.
Good to know
Farm hours 9 AM to 7 PM. Wear closed-toe shoes; dirt paths get soft after rain. Maze stays open in wet weather.
