About this event
The Veterans Day ceremony at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery is the State of Iowa's Veterans Day ceremony, hosted by the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans' organizations, families and local students gather beneath the sweeping shelter overlooking the Raccoon River Valley to celebrate the bond between generations of service members. The cemetery sits on a hilltop visible from I-80, with views of the rolling hills of rural Dallas County. The ceremony is free and open to the public, and it is also streamed on the department's Facebook Live.
