Billings Events 2026–27
Billings packs its holiday season into a few big indoor shows at MetraPark and a string of downtown traditions. The Holiday Food & Gift Festival opens the run on November 14–15 with more than 215 vendors in the MetraPark Expo Center, and bringing a non-perishable food item for Tumbleweed cuts admission. A week later, the Rescued & Reclaimed Country Christmas Market fills the same hall with vintage and handmade vendors from six states.
Thanksgiving morning starts with Run! Turkey Run!, a timed 5K and Street Mile through downtown that has donated more than $511,000 to local charities. The next day, the 41st Annual Billings Holiday Parade rolls through downtown, and Holiday Nights at ZooMontana opens its walk-through light show, with heated private igloos you can rent for groups.
Early December is the busiest stretch. The 41st Annual Festival of Trees, a Billings tradition since 1985, runs December 3–5 at MetraPark with decorated trees, a gala tree auction and a Saturday craft and gift show, and it raises money for child abuse prevention in Yellowstone County. On December 4, the Downtown Billings Holiday Stroll lines up with the downtown ArtWalk, and the Yellowstone Art Museum holds its WinterFair arts and crafts market the same day. The season closes on December 19 with the Chase Hawks Roughstock Rodeo, held in Billings since 1995, where top bareback, saddle bronc and bull riders compete one more time before Christmas.
Holiday Nights at ZooMontana sells date-specific tickets, so pick your night ahead.
