About this event
The West Virginia Black Walnut Festival in Spencer builds the weekend around black walnuts, with a nut run and a nut sweepstakes beside a grand parade, kids day parade, and queen pageant. The weekend also brings a carnival, craft show, flea market, flower show, food court, live music, and marketplace. Contests and side events include an art and photo show, bake contest, band competition, car show, livestock show, and pickleball tournament.
Our take: Plan around the nut run and nut sweepstakes if the walnuts are the reason for the trip, and use the grand parade as the other anchor.
