About this event

The Capitol Hill Farmers Market fills the gathering plaza and festival street of E Barbara Bailey Way every Sunday year-round, with a Tuesday market added in summer. That stretch of Denny Way was renamed in 2019 to honor Barbara Bailey, a beloved bookseller and LGBTQ+ rights activist. Run by the Neighborhood Farmers Markets, the market accepts EBT/SNAP with an unlimited dollar-for-dollar match, and shoppers can buy an extra bundle of produce to leave at the manager's tent for local food banks.

Our take: Take light rail: the Denny entrance of Capitol Hill Station opens right onto the market.

Parking

Street parking is free on Sundays.
