About this event
Colonial Williamsburg marks Veterans Day weekend with a Veterans Day Salute and Procession at Capitol Circle, a military procession honoring America's veterans featuring the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes & Drums and members of local veterans' groups. All veterans are encouraged to take part. Active duty military, reservists, retirees, veterans, National Guard members and their immediate dependents get free admission during Veterans Day week, covering historic trades and sites, the Art Museums, the Campbell Archaeology Center and shuttle service, through a grant from The Home Depot Foundation. The Liberty Lounge in the Historic Area offers a respite for military families.
Good to know
Procession begins 3:30 p.m. at Capitol Circle. Free military tickets must be picked up in person at the Lumber House or the Art Museums with a DoD photo ID or DD Form 214; all in the party must be present.
