About this event

The ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot started in 1991 with 600 runners and has grown into the largest 5-mile run in Texas, starting at the north end of the First Street Bridge by The Long Center. Choices are a timed or untimed 5-mile run, a 1-mile walk/run, the Stepping Stone School Kids K and a virtual option, with a few minor hills and four water stops. All proceeds go to Caritas of Austin, its sole beneficiary since 1991, and many participants wear costumes over their running clothes.

Our take: Bike over if you can, since there's a free, secure bike corral at the Long Center and lots fill up quickly.
