About this event
Rods & Ribs at Crosswater Yacht Club on Lake Travis pairs a hot rod show with a barbecue cook-off for Folds of Honor, which awards scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen and wounded soldiers and first responders. Cook teams hand out their barbecue for donations and compete for the top fundraiser spot, the Patriot Award. There's also an in-water boat show, silent and live auctions, RC boat races and live music by X Factor from 2 to 5 p.m.
Our take: Bring cash for the donation boxes: entry and food are free, but every dollar dropped in goes to Folds of Honor.
Parking
No entry fee; barbecue is handed out for donations.
